From ground to water: how a pool is built

Excavation, rebar, masonry, stone and mosaic: the stages of a pool built to last.

From ground to water: how a pool is built

It all starts with a plot and an idea. On day one we mark the shape of the pool with lime on the lawn: that's where size, sun orientation and the relationship with the house are defined.

Then comes what you don't see but holds everything up: excavation, compaction, steel reinforcement and concrete, and masonry walls. A pool is built from the bottom up, and every layer has to be perfect.

Finally come the finishes you enjoy: the natural stone edge and sun deck, the blue mosaic and the entry steps. On this project, from January to April 2026, we went from lawn to water in about three months.
