My philosophy: architecture is not just about combining styles, shapes and functions – it is a way of telling stories.

I believe good architectural design is not only about cleverly combining styles, shapes and functions. It is also a way of telling stories.
Every brick, every pillar, every wall plays a part in the story. They contribute to the narrative of the whole structure. That's why, before I draw, I listen: how the family lives, what landscape surrounds the plot, which memories they want to keep.
In the Popper House that story is the hills: a double-height home with open, connected spaces that combines brick, concrete, timber and glass so the landscape comes in through every window.
